Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What time will my items be delivered and collected?
A. We calculate our routes based on where you are on the map so we can make our deliveries as efficient as possible for everyone.
Garden deliveries will typically be 7am-11am, and will be collected from 5pm onwards. We’ll let you know the exact time a few days before your booking.
If you’re hiring for a venue, our deliveries will be tailored to your party. We will discuss all the details with you ahead of the day.
Q. How are the castles inflated? Do I need a plug nearby?
A. Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. All you need is a suitable socket located in your house or an outbuilding. We have long extension cables so don’t worry if your socket isn’t nearby.
Q. Can I deflate the castle myself?
A. We want to help make your party simple and easy so we’ll deflate and pack up the castle when we collect it. If you do want to deflate the castle for any reason, simply make sure no one is on the castle and unplug the fan. The castle will slowly go down on its own.
Q. What happens if it’s raining or particularly bad weather on the day of my booking?
A. Our castles are prepared for the rain with permanent rain covers and covered extensions so your party can go on. The only weather we can’t deliver in is strong winds because it becomes too unsafe for the castles to be used. If high winds are forecast we’ll get in touch with you to make arrangements.
Q. How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?
A. You’ll find information about the dimensions for each of our castles on our product page. We only ask that you allow an additional 5ft at both the back and front, and 2ft on either side of the inflatable. This helps keep everyone safe.
Q. What access is required to deliver a bouncy castle?
A. We use a small cart to move the castles so all we need is a standard size path to get the castle into your garden or venue.
Q. We have booked an indoor venue, can the bouncy castles go indoors?
A. Yes! You’ll just need to make sure the ceiling is high enough. The heights of all our products are available on our product page so you can check the measurements and compare with the venue.
Q. Are you fully insured?
A. Yes! The safety of you and your family is our highest priority. Bouncy Boss carries Public Liability Insurance to the value of £5 million. This ensures we are covered for any faults during set up or defective equipment. But it does not mean we are liable for any injuries during the time you have one of our castles. During this time, the hirer is responsible for any injuries that occur. If you have any questions or would like to know more, just get in touch.
Q: How Much Notice Do I Need To Give To Book A Castle?
A: Please book as soon as you can to avoid unnecessary disappointment! If you need same day hire and the castle is available and we can deliver we will!
Q: Do You Charge For Cancellation?
A: In most cases we don't charge a cancellation charge, so long as you give us 7 days notice to allow us to hire the castle out to somebody else. If you give us no or very little notice then you may be liable to lose the £20 deposit paid on booking as per T&C's.
Q. When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself?
A. We do all the hard work so you can enjoy your day! We’ll set up the castle when it’s delivered so you’ll always know it’s put up correctly and is safe to use. When we collect the castle, we’ll also deflate it and pack it away.
Q. How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?
A. It depends on the castle! You’ll find details on the individual product pages. But please remember, children’s castle should never be used by adults (no matter how much fun they look!).
Q. Is it okay to put a bouncy castle on my lawn? Will it cause much damage?
A. The lawn is the perfect place for the castle. To ensure everyone’s safety, we have to hammer in securing pegs to hold the castle down during use. The holes left over from the securing pegs will disappear after a few days.
Q. Can you put a bouncy castle outside on a concrete floor?
A. Unfortunately this isn’t possible. To ensure everyone’s safety, we have to hammer in securing pegs to hold the castle down during use, which isn’t possible on hard surfaces.
Q. How long can I keep the bouncy castle?
A. We usually deliver castles on the morning of your party and collect the same day. If you would like to keep the castle for longer, please select from the options at checkout.
Q: Am I Allowed To Hire This Castle From You And Then Charge People To Use The Castle?
A: Yes! This is a great way to support charitable causes. But just remember that you are responsible and liable for any damages so make sure that users are safe and don’t overload the castle. If you have questions, we’re happy to talk through best practice for use.
Q: Are Your Units Safe? How Will I Know What To Do?
A: Yes, all of our castles are designed with safety in mind and tested regularly. In addition, we review all safety rules with you prior to use. While no one can guarantee safety, we do everything we can to promote safe use of our products to ensure your day is filled with fun.
Q: My Garden Slopes A Bit - Will That Be OK?
A: Yes, a slight slope is not a problem. However, the safety of the children is the most important consideration when selecting a setup area, so if you are unsure then please get in touch.
Q: Do Your Inflatables Use Electricity? How Much Do They Use?
A: Yes. The blower required for our castles runs continuously and uses approximately £0.12 of electricity per hour. To give you some idea of what that means, a hairdryer uses more electricity! All blowers and wiring are PAT tested and safety checked before delivery.
Q: What Are Your Hours Of Operation?
A: We are open 7 days a week 7am - 10pm. However, you can also book online 24/7, or you can even send us a text on 07377166702.
Q: My Party Is Tomorrow. Can I Still Get a Castle?
A: If we have availability then yes of course. Simply get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you. However, please remember that last minute bookings will only be able to choose from the inflatables that are still left in stock. Therefore, it is preferable to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment..
Q: Can I Keep The Bouncy Castle Overnight?
A: Yes please discuss this with is upon booking! For an additional charge of £30, you are able to keep the castle overnights. However, the castle must be kept in a safe and secure area, such as a back garden, that is locked and fenced by a fence at least 5ft tall. Bouncy Boss reserves the right to cancel the overnight hire, at any event and time, if we have reason to believe that our property is at risk of damage or theft.
Q. Is it cheaper if we pick up the bouncy castle ourselves?
A. No. Your safety is our highest priority so our castles can only be set up by our trained staff. We complete an on-site inspection and secure the castles to maintain the highest levels of safety.
